Mike Maddens' 1968 Bridgestone 350 GTR

Last winter I emailed you a picture of my

1968 Bridgestone 350 GTR
project bike and you were kind enough to post it on your website.

Here's a picture of the same bike after the restoration process was completed.

It is a very fun bike to ride: rotary valves, six speeds and a dry clutch all made this a unique bike back in the sixties.

My next project is a 1968 Yamaha YL1E which will also be a total frame off restoration.

NICE JOB MIKE!

It's a shame that Bridgestone wasn't able to compete with

the other Japanese makers.

They had quite a few innovations, and their bikes were actually as good as, if not better than their contemporaries.

At least we have a few fans like Mike to keep some of these great examples alive!
